Sinclair Supermile
The supermile was started in 2019. This is an annual club event for everyone to get involved in regardless of ability. The idea for the event came about under sad circumstances when one of our members was diagnosed with a terminal illness. The mile race on the track at our base, Oaklands, was a way to bring people together, raise money for charity each year and to most importantly celebrate the life of John Sinclair.
John was fortunate enough to attend the first event and give out the trophies to the fastest male and female runners that year. For this event we also encourage our junior section to join in with us and Worksop Harriers are invited too. John had a stint of running for Worksop Harriers so it seems fitting that they also be a part of this fantastic evening race, providing some friendly competition against our local rivals whilst remembering John.
